Job Summary:

Curtis Lumber Company expect our Yard Material Handlers to help provide exceptional customer service in our outdoor lumber yard environment.

Material Handlers will use a combination of both Manual Labor and Forklift Operations in order to properly move product while wearing the correct Personal Protection Equipment and maintaining a safe work environment.

Material Handlers are responsible overall for the upkeep, cleanliness, maintenance, restocking, and flat stacking of yard goods and materials, and will most likely have other more specific duties assigned.

They're also in a customer facing role and are responsible for assisting our customers in locating the product they've purchased, helping them to load/unload their vehicles/trailers, and will even perform cut down's for transportation purposes if a product is too large for a customer!

General Duties:

• Inventory Management and Merchandising
• Material Handling
• Receiving Effectively and Efficiently
• Staging Loads for Delivery
• Safe and Proper use of Equipment and Materials
• Customer Service
• Accurately Reading Customer Invoices and knowing the difference in an Invoice vs. Order vs. Quote.
• Maintain Performance Expectations and work towards branch Goals as a Team!
• Other Duties may be assigned.

• Must be comfortable working year round in all weather conditions.

• Must be comfortable in a labor position as Material Handlers will move 80lbs. + regularly throughout the entire shift.

• Forklift Experience not required but is always a bonus. We will certify you in house!
