M-F, 6am-2:30pm Day shift

M-F, 3pm-11:30pm Swing shift


$3000 Sign on bonus

Primary Function of Position:

This position is responsible for basic material handling duties during the receipt, movement, storage, tracking, identification and shipment of materials required for production and order fulfillment. Material handler I job duties include: MRP materials transactions (including data entry timeliness and accuracy); inventory counting and verification, loading and unloading of delivery trucks; and support of daily manufacturing needs (put-away and replenishment) throughout the warehouse.

Roles and Responsibilities:

This position has responsibility and authority for:

  • Basic receiving, put-away, material transfer, and finished goods shipping duties
  • Basic systems packaging and pack-out duties
  • Able to process (U.S.) customers’ orders
  • Handle, verify, move, and transact materials in a prompt, efficient, accurate manner
  • Follows specified routes on manufacturing floor to replenish empty bins and Kanban’s.
  • Pull, stage and issue materials for sales or work orders and fill shortages
  • Identify and communicate issues that disrupt material movement
  • Utilize operations software to record data transactions (receipts, transfers, shipments)
  • Process incoming materials and verify correct part number(s), quantity, and lot/serial number verification (including labeling and certifications) to support FIFO
  • Comply with material management policies and procedures
  • Process material transfer forms
  • Scans bins empty or full when required using the ERP system
  • Send Kanban signals for materials on replenishment programs to suppliers
  • Perform cycle counts of warehouse inventory locations
  • Support production, purchasing, quality assurance, and order management requirements
  • Maintain warehouse safety and housekeeping in accordance with 5S principles
  • Operates material handling (forklift and pallet jack) equipment per safety policy
  • Communicate to stakeholders regarding status of material movements and transactions
  • Comply with employee training requirements record requirements

Skill/Job Requirements:

Competency Requirements: (Competency is based on education, training, skills and experience.)

In order to adequately perform the responsibilities of this position the individual must:

  • Possess either high school or AA degree
  • Possess prior warehouse (1+ years) or material handling experience in manufacturing environment including
  • Inventory management experience (cycle counts, physical inventory)
  • Prior experience and/or certification in operating material handling equipment a plus
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds frequently each day
  • Extensive walking and repetitive physical motion (squatting, bending, lifting) is required (at least 70% of hours worked)
  • Steel toe shoes, safety gloves, and clean room coats are required attire
  • Clean driving record (no violations) is preferred
  • Able to demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness in completing work assignments
  • Prior computer experience (including MS Office products and ERP systems) preferably SAP and Agile.
  • Forklift experience (6 months)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
