Tulsa Remote LLC is an initiative of the George Kaiser Family Foundation designed to enhance Tulsa’s talented and successful workforce by bringing diverse, bright, and driven new individuals to the city. Participants in the Tulsa Remote program are integrated into the community through various collaborations and networking opportunities with the ultimate goal of retaining them in the Tulsa area for the long term. The Tulsa Remote program and community have experienced a high level of success and the program is rapidly expanding.
Position Summary
The Marketing Specialist for Tulsa Remote, LLC supports the Director and Manager to execute external marketing strategies. To be successful in this position, the Specialist must possess skills and demonstrated success in building relationships with broad and diverse audiences, creating and delivering impactful and relevant messaging, as well as executing marketing strategies that achieve organizational goals.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Marketing and Media Relations:
- Implement Tulsa Remote’s master marketing calendar and coordinate execution with the Tulsa Remote team and relevant vendors to achieve the goal of the marketing plan.
- Support the Marketing Manager in collecting the data, information and member stories necessary for use in media relations and other marketing activities. Maintain a member stories database.
- Draft content for weekly newsletters, social media spotlights, and media relations featuring members and their unique experiences.
- Support ongoing maintenance of applicant-facing content of TulsaRemote.com: program benefits, FAQs, Tulsa lifestyle information, etc.
- Communications:
- Develop and distribute the weekly member newsletter with support from the Marketing Manager.
- Support the Member Experience Team by creating Eventbrites with masterfully branded copy, graphics and messaging that can also be used on Loxi, Slack, the Newsletter, etc.
- Support Marketing Manager in mass email creation and distribution for Staff Series, Community Stakeholder communications, and more.
- Digital Marketing:
- Work with the Marketing Manager to implement a quarterly content calendar, planning for content across all social platforms (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube and TikTok).
- Draft and schedule copy for the content calendar on a biweekly basis for all social platforms.
- Attend select Tulsa Remote events and programs to capture content for social media channels.
- Work with Member Experience Team to capture content at events where the Marketing Specialist cannot be present.
- Have basic video editing skills that can be applied to creating content for social media content and newsletters.
- Lead community management efforts for social media, representing the Tulsa Remote brand through responding to comments and direct messages on social media.
- Provide monthly reports and analytics on social media activity, tracking toward organizational impression and engagement goals. Audit usage and make recommendations for Tulsa Remote brand engagement moving forward.
- Have experience using Canva or other similar design tools, and the ability to support the Marketing Manager in creating graphics for the newsletter, social media, etc.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
