OVERVIEW

With an ever-growing portfolio of iconic public and private projects across the country, our marketing/proposals team is an integral part of our success and the key behind securing new work through the development of a variety of proposal responses and qualification packages.

Working closely with our technical teams, marketing staff, and under the guidance of the proposal manager, the marketing/proposal coordinator will craft compelling responses that are informative and persuasive, with the ability to creatively position our solutions in response to the client’s needs.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Review, research, and strategize components for new proposals.
  • Coordinate proposal schedules and action plans as part of the proposals process.
  • Develop proposal structure and creative content to meet requirements
  • Collaborate with technical and executive teams to develop strategies with winning themes.
  • Work with technical staff to obtain proposal scopes of work, approach and fee content.
  • Utilize proposal management tools including outlines, matrices, and schedules to manage all aspects of proposal development, such as proposal strategy, content, and page count, as well as task assignments and divisions of responsibility including proposal development review meetings and Q&A deadlines.
  • Facilitate communication and information distribution with teams including client correspondence and amendments to ensure compliance and accuracy of proposal content.
  • Source and integrate technical content provided by various authors into a cohesive, compelling and well-written narrative aligned with winning themes.
  • Ensure proposals are in compliance with all RFP criteria and requirements.
  • Coordinate graphics and images within McLaren Brand Standards to help illustrate the proposal message.
  • Review proposals to ensure accuracy and clear focus in the McLaren voice.
  • Develop, write and maintain marketing information systems and records including staff resumes, project tear sheets, proposal graphics, marketing calendars, and other standard materials.
  • Work with the greater marketing team on providing ideas and information on project content for press releases, social media marketing, brochures, website, ensuring that messages are supportive of and consistent with marketing strategies.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • BA or BS degree in technical writing, English, marketing, communications, or similar field is preferred
  • Experience in proposal writing, grant writing, or persuasive writing
  • Proficient with MS Office 365 programs (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Adobe CC (InDesign, Photoshop, and Acrobat) preferred
  • Excellent written and organizational skills
  • Strong time management, organizational and prioritization skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and experience collaborating with multi-disciplinary marketing teams
  • Superb attention to detail and ability to think strategically
