Drury Lane Theatre and Events is seeking a dynamic and entrepreneurial professional to serve as Marketing Director. This individual will be responsible for leading and driving forward current and future marketing plans that highlight the creations, assets and initiatives of the Drury Lane organization as a whole.
Opportunity:
As a member of the Senior Management team, this position will oversee and facilitate all facets of marketing and public relations for Drury Lane, as well as offering innovative ideas for future campaigns. This includes supporting current strategic plans for marketing and patron development campaigns to meet the financial goals for the following areas:
- Drury Lane Productions-Theatre
- Martinique Drury Lane-Lucille Restaurant
- Martinique Drury Lane-Drury Lane Events
This position will supervise and collaborate with a team of external creatives including Graphic Design, Digital and Social Marketing, and Website Developer. This role will have the responsibility of supporting Drury Lane’s brand management at all times. Financial accountability will be expected through the implementation and analysis of strategic sales/marketing plans, operating budgets and forecasts to assist with the achievement of objectives and sales goals.
Position Purposes and Objectives
- Support current strategies, as well as develop and recommend strategies and events to increase revenue across all departments within context of current and future plans
- Sustain and increase online presence and audiences by working with team to impliment digital innovations in line with company vision
- Ensure effective control of marketing results, and take corrective action to guarantee that achievement of marketing objectives falls within designated budgets and goals
- Oversee and evaluate market research and adjust marketing strategy to meet changing market and competitive conditions
- Oversee and support advertising and promotional activities including print, online, radio, television commercials, B-Roll, rehearsal videos, social media and direct mail
- Positively represent and promote the company and its image to the press while attending media/social events
- Maintain relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners
- Guide preparation of marketing activity reports and presents to executive management
- Maintain a consistent company image throughout all promotional materials and events

Experience and Knowledge Needed for Position:
- Bachelor’s degree in sales, marketing or business administration or equivalent number of years experience.
- Five (5) years of related experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suites and Google Mail/Calendar
- Proficiency in Ticketmaster and Archtics is a plus
- Strong Knowledge of current/upcoming social media platforms
- Collaborate effectively with a wide variety of personalities and situations requiring diplomacy, tact, friendliness, poise and firmness
- Demonstrate an understanding of, sensitivity to and appreciation for the diverse ethnic, socio-economic, disability and gender diversity of guests and staff
- Comfortable handling highly confidential information
- Present proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Present proof of COVID-19 vaccination
- Reliable transportation required
Work Environment:
- Office environment: sitting at a desk working/typing on a computer
Physical Demands:
