GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Marketing Coordinator will follow the direction of the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager with all administrative tasks needed to successfully accomplish all marketing plans and programs.
ESSENTIAL FUNTIONS:
- Assists the hotels in interacting with various marketing services.
- Communicate and coordinate with the internal guests to understand business/marketing objectives and ensure deadlines are met.
- In conjunction with the Director of Sales and Marketing and General Manager, is responsible for creation and execution of successful promotions and events including promotions and events.
- Assist Sales, Operations, and Administrative team in development of advertising material.
- Assist Sales, Operations, and Administrative team in maintaining internal marketing materials such as brochures, lightfaces, signs, posters and digital marquees.
- Writing rules and regulations for promotions and special events as assigned.
- Coordinates with other departments as necessary to ensure successful events.
- Responsible for distributing promotional items and communicating property information to current and potential guests
- Supports and cultivates new ideas and methods to deliver business solutions.
- Complies with and upholds company expectations including but not limited to policies, procedures, industry regulations, department goals and business strategy.
- Communicates programs/services to necessary people, seeks their support and keeps them informed of changes that impact the business.
- Must be knowledgeable of all happening on property and in the market.
- Be familiar with all hotel services/features and local attractions/activities to respond to guest inquiries accurately.
- Assist casino hosts, Players Club, Casino Events, and other departments with information regarding casino guests.
- Perform Q/A and Seasonal Audits across our portfolio of Hotels
- Support reporting process, including distribution of digital marketing reports
- Research industry and competitive trends, gather data identifying opportunities and insights
- Attend any brand training as well as other meetings as requested by your supervisor
- Develop collateral aligned with brand standards and policies
- Coordination of Digital Media and Imagery
- Responds to all third party review sites (Tripadvisor, Booking.com, etc)
- Attend weekly meetings with Public Relations partner.
- Ensure sustained media campaigns
- Constantly look for things in hotels for PR to talk about. When there is nothing, create something.
- Find local partners to partner in hotel packages.
- Drive marketing into niche areas. Look into partnerships with local magazines, like-minded brands, etc.
- For holidays, assist operating departments to determine what hotel will do to celebrate (e.g., Halloween candy at check in, roses in the restaurant on Valentine’s Day)
- Send out Monthly Updates on traveler review websites.
- Once a quarter, a full website content review to ensure everything is still relevant. Look at competitor’s websites as well.
- Research what competitive sets are doing in terms of packages and Marketing.
- Attend Sales Strategy meetings.
- Create monthly marketing calendar.
- Create monthly marketing email to send to database of guests and clients.
- Assist F&B in creating unique items for amenity list, focusing on revenue generating amenities for birthdays and anniversaries.
- Create fun marketing ideas around the pool. (Beach balls floats, jazzed up cabanas, etc.)
- Research and prospect new opportunities for hotel extra exposure.
- Shop comp-set sites and social media to identify trends and marketing opportunities.
- Work with sister properties to maximize marketing efforts.
- Other duties as required.
EDUCATION / SKILL REQUIREMENTS
1-2 years’ experience in an administrative support position in the hospitality industry.
College Degree preferred, but not required based on experience.
Maintain safety by adhering to safety policies; be responsible to report all accidents immediately
Support all safety programs.
