Position Title: Marketing Coordinator
Department: Development
Reports To: Development Director
Classification: Full-time hours, Non-Exempt, Hourly pay $20.50
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm. Occasional weekends and evening events.

About Feeding America Riverside San Bernardino
Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB) is leading the fight against hunger in the Inland Empire by providing food access, emergency relief, education, and advocacy to families in Riverside and San Bernardino Counties. FARSB opened in 1980 as Survive Food Bank in response to the increasing concern about the dual problems of hunger and food waste in the Inland Empire. Today, FARSB is the primary food source for over 250 local nonprofit organizations, distributing over two million pounds of food monthly to emergency food pantries, soup kitchens, high-need elementary schools, senior centers, after-school programs, and more. With the help of these community partners, FARSB makes up the largest hunger-relief organization serving Riverside and San Bernardino Counties, ultimately making food security a reality for over 1.2 million people every year.

Summary: The Marketing Coordinator leads our media marketing efforts by developing digital, print, internal, and external content for the food bank to increase the visibility of our brand, mission, and programs to internal and external stakeholders. This position collaborates with a variety of partners and vendors on marketing collateral, website and digital marketing, publications, direct mail, graphic design, and social media.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage FARSB website including updates, troubleshooting, and analytics
- Produce printed and online communication material for internal and external marketing- communications initiatives
- Create and coordinate printed material publications, including direct mail pieces, brochures, quarterly newsletters, the annual report, stewardship activities, and other specialty pieces as required, working with vendors as approved.
- Serve as primary contact for direct mail vendors to ensure overall message, look, and specifications are being met in a timely and cost-effective manner
- Draft, design, and schedule social media posts for all channels: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Manage promotional merchandise ordering, log merchandise sales, and develop new merchandise concepts/plans.
- Develop audio, video, print, or other materials for public presentations
- Maintain FARSB’s image archive and take photos of presentations and events as needed
- Participate in monthly cause marketing calls, develops corporate engagement, and promotional material plan for relevant campaigns
- Support the implementation of FARSB and third-party community events by developing digital media collateral such as flyers, invitations, programs, brochures, sponsorship packets, annual reports, etc.
- Provide training and support to our community partners regarding media and marketing of FARSB
- Supports the Communication Coordinator with revisions on direct mail appeals, email blasts, press releases, etc.
- Provide support and guidance on the FARSB brand to all departments to ensure consistent messaging internally and externally and organization wide-compliance with the brand style guide
- Assist with Volunteer and Corporate Donor cultivation services, including but not limited to speaking engagements, thank-you calls, e-mail, written communication, tours, etc.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
- Experience in developing digital and print content for social media, websites, and other visual aspects
- Knowledge of marketing principles, procedures, and best practices used in mass communications
- Working knowledge of Canva, Photoshop, In Design, and Illustrator
- Basic fundraising knowledge, such as an internship or non-profit work experience
- Excellent photography and videography skills
- Experience with HTML and e-marketing platforms
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent writing and editing skills for a variety of audiences across a variety of platforms, including print, broadcast, web, social media, direct mail, speech writing, video scripting (Current writing samples required)
- Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, collaboration, and decision-making skills.
- Be able to sit for prolonged periods of time working on a computer.
- Must be able to speak for a prolonged period of time while presenting a training or tour
- Valid California driver’s license, current insurance, and ability to be insured by Food Bank insurance.
- Preferred not required: Bilingual
Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
- Ability to lift 25 pounds to carry equipment and supplies as needed
- Able to drive throughout the Inland Empire for meetings and events
- Extended periods of sitting while working on a phone and computer
- Indoor office environment and indoor warehouse environment with moderate noise
- Office hours are 7am-3:30pm, but the schedule varies based on Department needs.
