Position Description:

As our Marketing Automation Manager, you’ll drive the ideation, creation, and analysis of our marketing campaigns. These tasks will be accomplished by being creative, tactical, analytical, and methodical. If you love testing various messages, marketing channels, subject lines, and landing pages and have a passion for positively impacting our education system, keep reading. This role will report to the Senior Director of Marketing and support a rapidly growing part of the business.


Major Areas of Responsibility:

  • Responsible for marketing campaign development and execution, including segmentation, testing, and deployment
  • Have demonstrated expertise in creating high-performing marketing automation campaigns
  • Understand how to leverage email, calling, texting, and re-targeting in said campaigns
  • Maintain all marketing campaigns in our CRM (HubSpot and Salesforce)
  • Understand and evaluate campaign metrics and distribute campaign performance to the marketing team
  • Work with management to define KPIs, create reporting, analyze campaign performance and provide recommendations on improvements
  • Manage marketing automation efforts and processes, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies, and industry standards
  • Plan and perform A/B testing to define and execute enhancements to productivity, conversion rates, programs/campaign ROI, and growth
  • Support essential marketing operations initiatives in HubSpot, such as managing the lead lifecycle, lead scoring, lead nurturing, segmentation, and data cleansing


Primary Objectives:

  • Ensure all HubSpot activities are operating at peak performance
  • Create scalable processes to allow for future growth
  • Be a reliable HubSpot expert


Specific Responsibilities of the Job:

  • Own Workflows
    • Ensure all are running efficiently and error-free
    • Update and test on a regular basis to ensure maximum return
  • Develop Campaigns
    • Work with internal teams to ideate and create various campaigns in HubSpot
    • Monitor and create reporting to ensure campaigns are working as expected
  • Testing
    • Come up with A/B tests for campaigns, workflows, emails, and landing pages as needed to maximize return
    • Create reports to measure said tests and KPIs
  • Manage Contact Database
    • Ensure all contact lists are well-maintained and organized
    • Create processes to move contacts in and out of marketing/non-marketing lists


Job Requirements:

  • Mastery of HubSpot inbound tactics and best practices
  • Superior communication skills
  • Proven track record of copywriting for demand generation
  • A basic understanding of teacher certification is a plus
  • Proven years of marketing automation experience
  • Expert knowledge of database management concepts and best practices
  • Ability to work well with internal teams, leadership, and external agencies
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Ability to work with internal design and content teams to collaborate on campaign execution


Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 5+ Years of Experience running complex marketing campaigns, preferably in HubSpot
  • K-12 School Experience preferred
    • Impeccable writing and editorial skills, with an outstanding command of the English language
    • The ability to think like an educator, intuitively understanding what the audience needs to know and how they want to consume it
  • Working knowledge of alternative teacher certification is a big plus
  • Needs to be continually learning the latest platforms, technology tools, and marketing solutions through partnerships


Travel:

Requires <15% travel.
