Responsibilities
Job Summary / Purpose
The Market VP of CardioVascular Services (CVS) is responsible for the overall administration and success of CardioVascular Services within CHI Memorial through the implementation of strategic plans. This person is expected to meet goals in all areas of the service line, including but not limited to operations, financial management, The Joint Commission and other regulatory agencies and designated accrediting bodies, leadership development, customer satisfaction, strategic planning, and market share growth of the services in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of CHI Memorial. The Executive Leader assures that the philosophy and mission of CHI Memorial is visible in the operation and direction of assigned departments and that a smooth, efficient operation is consistent and aligned with the overall corporate business strategy. The VP of CVS collaborates and aligns the CVS Line (CVSL) with support services to grow the volumes, improve service, increase revenue, and control cost through process improvement and redesign. The CVSL leader serves as a liaison between CHI Memorial and physicians to align services and provide quality patient care through administrative support for the Joint Operating Council and supporting subcommittees under the direction of Chattanooga Heart Institute , LLC Board and CHI Memorial . The Executive leader works in conjunction with the SVP of Cardiovascular Services and the President of Chattanooga Heart Institute to achieve goals. The VP of CVS participates in activities across the national CommonSpirit system.

Required Education and Experience
MBA, MHA or other related Master’s degree required
Required Licensure and Certifications
Applicable license or certification
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Training
Three to five years of experience working with cardiac services; clinical experience preferred. Five years of experience in operational management of a clinical service which includes financial and strategic planning. Strong background in execution of strategies from program development and business plans. Experience working in a matrix management organizational structure.
