Reporting to the Director of Market Development, you will be responsible for extending our global outreach to some of the world's biggest companies through skillful discovery and exploration of untapped business opportunities and relationships as well as nurturing and developing the existing sales funnel.
Our ideal candidate will be trusted to dive right in, take the lead, use initiative, and help build our brand to become the global leader. Highly skilled at sales and business operations, this person will join and inspire a team of like-minded go-getters to achieve our company vision.
Objectives of this Role
- Working with our Marketing and Business Development Teams assist in the coordination and implementation of campaigns to define new business opportunities to achieve strategic goals.
- Identify trends and customer needs, building a short/medium/long-term sales pipeline in accordance with targets.
- Working with our Applications Team managing both our existing sales pipeline and developing new business opportunities aligned with targets.
- Take a lead role in the development presentations for new business materials to create and nurture business opportunities and partnerships.
Job Duties:
- Track performance, key reporting metrics and provide feedback to company leadership team and other company functions.
- Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and meet regularly with management and stakeholders to discuss strategy.
- Manage proposal response process, including detailed Request for Proposal (RFP) requirements, content creation, and inputs from various sources.
- Generate new leads, identify and contact decision-makers, screen potential business opportunities, select the deals aligned with strategies, and lead and facilitate pitch logistics.
- Travel for in-person meetings with customers and partners and to develop key relationships.
- Support deal structure and pricing with business value analysis; negotiate prices for proactive bids and proposals.
- Maintain and share professional knowledge through education, networking, events, and presentations.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline such as business or engineering.
- Successful track record in B2B technical sales and negotiation.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Working experience with sales techniques.
- Proficiency with data analysis, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Organized and methodical with proven ability to effectively manage multiple tasks.
Strongly Desired:
- Experience with CRM software (i.e., HubSpot).
- Ability to confidently deliver presentations.
- Experience in metal Additive Manufacturing, and ten years' experience in B2B sales.
