We are seeking teammates for our Operations Department in Lake Hopatcong, NJ to help deliver boaters’ safe and fun times on the water. Operations Department oversees boat rentals, boating club, fuel dock, and marina services.

You will help generally friendly and happy guests who are enjoying themselves on the water, on our boats, and in our marina. You will be working with boats and boaters on a regular basis. You will be supporting a safe and well-maintained fleet and marina environment. Your work is primarily outdoors, although in off-seasons and on certain projects you will be working indoors. You will be learning from others, training others at times, and performing on a team nearly every day. You will get marina training, boat handling training, fun perks like 'staff night on the water', as well as rewarding times on the water working with a great team. Your starting compensation varies based on your skills, ability, and experience. Starting wage varies based on your experience and skills, and significant advancement and increases are available rapidly, readily and are encouraged! Starting wages range from $15-$20 per hour and work is available full time year round.

Seasonal gratuities are not included in wages and may vary considerably based on shifts and performance. Additional seasonal ‘Retention Incentives’ may range up to $1,000 or more! We are seeking both part-time and full-time year-round and seasonal teammates.

Some basic responsibilities are:

• Helping guests come and go from the marina by land or by water by carrying items, covering boats, landing boats, and similar.
• Communicating with guests and teammates to determine needs and then acting to support them.
• Basic boat care such as covering, cleaning, vacuuming, polishing, etc.
• General tasks and checklists to ensure boats and marina are maintained, clean and safe.
• Marina maintenance or other similar projects to ensure grounds and equipment well cared for.
• Tasks such as pumping gas, working with a register, checking boats for condition and equipment, support of boat service, winterization and spring recommission and maintaining the facility.

Some responsibilities for advanced applicants, or tasks you will acquire as you advance:

• Operating boats in the marina or elsewhere on the water body.
• Providing orientations for boaters.
• Operating marina vehicles, tractors and trailers or performing mechanical tasks.
• Guest sales and or advanced guest development
• Commission and decommissioning boats and associated work
• Overseeing other teammates or projects, leading shifts, and management of day to day.

In the off season our schedule is Tuesday-Saturday, and in summer season we are open seven (7) days a week May through September including summer holidays. Summer scheduling includes weekend and summer holiday availability. You must be able to swim.
