Job description

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling and unloading material with care and without damaging the product.
• Itemize, part mark, label, organize and stage parts by work order and secondary operation.
• Perform secondary operations as needed; edge round, grain, grind, form, roll, PEM nuts, Heli coils, rivet nuts, keenserts and/or machining.
• Set up and operate manual mill or lathe to drill, turning, tapping or countersink.
• Perform basic assembly as well as install hardware utilizing drawings/prints
• Take direction from the Shop Foreman while working in priority order.
• Create and modify fixturing.
• MIG or TIG mild steel as needed.
• Perform maintenance or cleaning of facility, machines, scrap, etc.

Skills & Experience:

• Minimum of 5-10 years in a manufacturing shop as a Shop Technician
• Understand and follow the fundamentals of a manufacturing shop.
• Ability to read and understand manufacturing drawings/prints.

Education:

• HS Diploma or GED

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and to stand, bend, or lift constantly.

Equipment Used:

• Shear and saw operate holding +/- 0.03 tolerance.
• Drive a truck or flatbed as needed to conduct deliveries and pickups.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour
