Valuation & Capital Markets Analysis practice has numerous concurrent projects running at any given time. Our healthy, rapid, and scalable growth creates many moving parts and quick turnarounds. As a VCMA Special Projects Manager, you will support the National Managing Principal and the direct reports to provide exceptional project management skills for internal and client facing initiatives. This role will also support the National Managing Principal in managing special and ad hoc projects for national Advisory function.
As there are several cities listed within this job description, we would consider candidates nationwide and able to work remote as long as willing to travel to client site as needed

Essential Duties:
Project Management
- Manages projects as directed by the National Managing Principal
- Manages meetings, including coordination, taking notes, assigning action items, performing follow up, and sending meeting debriefs for your team
- Manages and owns ad hoc projects, as needed
- Conducts project analysis and reporting to ensure project status stays on track, identifies areas requiring corrective action and makes recommendations to leaders to correct those areas.
- Ensures adherence to compliance requirements
- Attends communication and engagement activities, such as social and event planning, on behalf of leadership, as necessary
- Tracks and maintains action items in Smartsheet or similar project tracking tools
- Performs research, as needed
Communication Responsibilities
- Participates as a team player, while being responsible for timely responses via email, telephone, or Microsoft Teams
- Interacts with clients, business partners, and engagement managers, directors, partners, and practice on a regular basis
- Performs other related duties as required
Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Oversees major initiatives and projects
- Responsible for co-project management partnership projects

- Bachelor’s degree, required
Experience:
- Five (5) or more years in professional services, required
- Three (3) or more years in project management, preferred
License(s)/Certification(s):
- PMP or another Project Management certification, preferred
Software:
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, required
- Proficient in project management software preferred, specifically Smartsheet

- Ability to anticipate senior leadership needs and client expectations and give real-time candid feedback to senior leaders in the practice
- Ability to train on project management
- Responsible for providing ideas and participating in internal and client strategy discussions
- Expected to create and refine work project plans
- Expected to formulate recommendations and understand the impact of the recommendations
- Expected to develop and implement design thinking, processes, and reusable products for the practice
- The ability to analyze and provide meaningful insights, interpretations, and guidance by leveraging data intelligence and mining solutions (e.g., SmartSheet, Microsoft PowerBI, Microsoft Advanced E-Discovery, trend analyses) to educate and consult with clients
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams across the assigned portfolio of projects
