Position Overview:
Role Description
  • Independently exercise critical thinking, sound analytical judgment and insight development
  • Leverage, produce, and provide predictive operational analysis from internal and external data sources for use in operational decision making
  • Build/maintain reporting and perform analysis for small parcel transportation network
  • Work with carriers, freight auditors and internal Technology teams to source data
  • Navigate team through data analysis and solution development
  • Act as subject matter expert for Transportation-related KPIs and metrics to drive business change
  • Identify capabilities and processes that drive continuous improvement, prepare improvement projections and post-implementation variance analysis
  • Manage ad hoc analysis requests by the business
  • Develop process solutions which turn data insights into actionable improvement
  • Interpret and present innovative and reliable insights through use of descriptive, diagnostic, predictive and prescriptive analytical techniques
  • Establish and maintain effective system tools in support of the department
  • Work collaboratively with inventory & replenishment, distribution operations, transportation operations and supplier community, information technology to optimize flow of goods with network capacity constraints
  • Create and develop reporting required for programs and projects, supporting supply chain business development and related initiatives
Minimum Position Qualifications
  • 5+ years of analytical experience with emphasis on Transportation and/or Supply Chain
  • 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Operations or Planning role such as Demand Planning, Network Planning, Supply Chain Management, or Transportation
  • Ability to influence without having direct authority
  • Proven history of using data to tell a story
  • Experience presenting to Executive Leadership
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and work cooperatively in a team-based environment
  • Firm understanding financial concepts
  • Ability to delegate and follow up on assignments while striving for results
  • Knowledge of analytical tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Microstrategy, SQL, Python
  • Working PKMS experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • Excellent oral/written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and train
  • Ability to prioritize/multi-task while providing accurate/on-time results
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive information
  • An in-depth and broad understanding of problem identification, analysis and resolution
  • Retail experience is a plus
  • The target salary for this role is: $80,000-110,000. Actual compensation within that range is influenced by a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and other job-related factors.
