MANAGER OF MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS

POSITION SUMMARY

Heritage Community Initiatives is offering a unique opportunity for a marketing
professional to develop and support all elements of the organization’s internal and external
marketing and communications efforts. This position – reporting directly to the President
and CEO – will work with our agency of record to craft our strategy as well as implement all
aspects of the plan including digital media campaigns, social media, traditional public
relations, direct mail, outreach and teammate communications. The Manager of Marketing
and Communications will play a pivotal role in the organization as Heritage approaches our
40th year of service.

RESPONSIBILITIES (include but not limited to)

• Develop, implement, and evaluate annual communications plan.

• Manage development, distribution, and maintenance of all marketing materials,

• Serve as joint liaison, alongside President & CEO, with external marketing agency.

• Serve as project manager and lead contact for graphic designer and printers.

• Generate and coordinate media interest; initiate contact with target media; maintain

• Lead outreach events that achieve business and program goals.

• Trained to assist in Salsa Labs donor database, fundraising, event, and marketing

• Create and update posts and pages on WordPress website.

• Create and implement a social media plan for the organization.

• Create and manage ad campaigns for Facebook, Google, etc.

• Analyze and report on appropriate social data/metrics, insights and

• Re-establish a year-round volunteer program

• Assist Director of Business Development and President & CEO as needed.
  

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

• 3-5 years related project management experience in the marketing field
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field/experience.

• Outstanding interpersonal communications, writing and editing skills.

• Proficient working knowledge of WordPress, Microsoft Office Suite, ability to learn

• Clear familiarity with social media platforms, best practices, and current trends.
• Experience in basic SEO and ability to extract KPI’s.
• Current FBI, Child Abuse, National Sex Offender Registry (NSOR), and State Criminal

Background clearances as well as applicable Out of State Clearances (State and Child
Abuse).

• Current health assessment and TB test.

• Ability to frequently lift or move weight as in lifting, carrying, or holding children
