We are currently seeking a training professional to join our Familia. This position will be a part of the Human Resources Learning & Development team.
Manager of Learning and Development
The Manager of Learning & Development will help design, plan, and implement training programs, policies, and procedures. This person will also collaborate with functional teams to assess current and future training and development needs and the effectiveness of established programs. Researching new training techniques, learning systems, and suggesting enhancements to existing training programs to meet the organization's changing needs will be a major focus of this role. Additionally, the Manager will engage with vendors providing supplemental training programs or training content while ensuring that training resources and delivery methods are kept up to date and are effective.
Key Responsibilities:
Training, coaching, and mentoring of new & existing managers and team members.
- Identify and monitor training needs in the organization. Design, plan, and implement the training programs as necessary.
Develop, organize, and update hourly training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials (handouts, visual materials, etc.) for restaurant operations employees (exempt and non-exempt)
They will be responsible at times to conduct training in the restaurants, classroom settings and be the point person for the administration functionality for this position. Some occasional out of town travel will be required.
- Be a key leader on the Companys Human Resources Learning & Development team, helping to shape and build the people plan for this growing restaurant company.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience
- Minimum of five years in a training capacity
- Experience in instructional design, program management or management experience; or combination of experience
- Takes accountability for action and owns the outcomes
- Proven ability to form cross-functional partnerships with all levels from team members to management
- Excellent facilitation and presentation skills as well as strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to prioritize work, and balance competing priorities
- Strong time management skills with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Bilingual in English/ Spanish is a plus
