The Manager of Employee Development Programs is responsible for improving productivity and developing the talents of the organization's employees. This position will assess the company-wide developmental needs by driving training initiatives and identifying/arranging appropriate training solutions. This position actively searches, creatively designs, and pro-actively implements effective methods to educate, enhance, and recognize performance.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Analyze employee training needs and develop training plans as necessary.
  • Evaluate current training programs and methods to identify weaknesses or shortcomings; provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop and monitor a detailed annual training budget.
  • Plan and implement development and training programs using a variety of methods including e-learning, conferences, classroom training, workshops, and on-the-job training.
  • Train and instruct managers, supervisors, and others to help them realize the skills and techniques to deal with employees and provide effective training solutions.
  • Plan, organize, and order supplies for employee development and training events.
  • Develop and maintain organizational communications and educational tools such as bulletin boards and newsletters to ensure employees have knowledge of training and development events and resources.
  • Develop and modify procedures for evaluating and testing employees, including new hires and current employees.
  • Conduct follow-up studies of all completed training to evaluate and measure results.
  • Discuss training needs and goals with management on a monthly, quarterly, or yearly basis to establish training needs based on projected changes and goals
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Educational and Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum of 5 years in a related field
  • Superb track record in developing and executing successful training programs
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communications skills with demonstrated ability to present to a group of employees
  • Strong management, delegation, and administration skills
  • Strong strategic and creative mindset; critical thinking with innovative problem-solving skills
  • Familiar with traditional and modern training processes

Physical Capabilities:

  • Ability to speak regularly to large groups of employees
  • Ability to stand and walk for long intervals
  • Ability to travel up to 50%
