Manages day-to-day operations for all aspects of Materials Management including Inventory Control and Distribution, Shipping/Receiving and Linen Services. Displays effective control and utilization of all financial resources as outlined in the department’s budget. Demonstrates control while continuously reviewing adequate use of productive FTEs, overtime, and operating expenses. Maintains sufficient inventory levels while recognizing cost reductions whenever possible. Responsible for all personnel, their actions and productive outcome to comply with hospital philosophy. Introduces Excellence for Life (EFL) concepts to staff to ensure the highest level of customer service and quality. Maintains control and organization of the department while collaborating with departments throughout the hospital. Manages daily functions (supply PAR leveling and linen replenishment, ordering, order follow-up, cycle counts, quality checks, crediting, scheduling, etc.) in order to maintain proper product flow and ensure maximum customer satisfaction.

- Oversee the management of all supplies, determining appropriate stocking levels in all locations (par rooms, carts, and inventory) to ensure appropriate levels of supplies are on site while minimizing waste.
- Responsible for 24/7 oversite of department to respond to needs as they arise.
- Monitor the receipt and delivery of supplies throughout the organization ensuring timely completion of duties.
- Ensures customer satisfaction through rounding and effective communication.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or 5+ years experience in management or technical related field is required, master’s degree preferred. Willingness to sign a Memorandum of Understanding agreement that states you would be willing to earn your Bachelor’s Degree in a specific amount of time along with Materials Management Operations experience will be considered.

A minimum of 5 years operations experience (distribution, warehouse, shipping & receiving, courier services) required.

A minimum of 2 years management experience preferred. Previous hospital experience preferred.Computer skills including Microsoft Office products and Materials Management Information Systems required.
