Who are we hiring?

The Manager, Marketing Strategy (Ticketing) will serve as the enterprise-wide ticket marketing expert by identifying and sharing best practices, collaboratively developing marketing strategy with key stakeholders, and executing tactical plans to support sales goals. Reporting dually into the Senior Directors for Marketing Strategy of both the NY Knicks and NY Rangers, this person collaborates with the Creative, Ticketing, and Data & Analytics departments to brief and manage ticketing campaigns while monitoring real-time data to make on-the-fly adjustments.

What will you do?

  • Develop the strategy and creative brief for annual Season Ticket Membership renewals and sales campaigns
  • Lead collaborative process to build the annual Indy Ticket Playbook – a system for monitoring game-by-game sales while applying various sales programs and offers to move inventory
  • Create ad hoc marketing plans to address real-time ticketing needs
  • Serve as liaison between Marketing, Creative, and Ticketing to expedite marketing asset approvals
  • Collaborate with Ticketing and Data & Analytics to conduct annual and real-time ticket buyer research
  • Identify and share best practices in ticket campaigns, programs, and tactics across the sports and entertainment landscape while also providing competitive data for benchmarking purposes.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years’ experience in sports team marketing and ticket sales
  • Proven ability to create and execute integrated marketing campaigns; skill utilizing mobile and e-mail.
  • Strong understanding of sports consumer behavior and ticketing buying trends
  • Knowledge of TicketMaster is required; Salesforce, and other analytics platforms strongly preferred*
  • Highly collaborative and creative problem-solver with proven ability to execute quickly
  • Some travel will be required for the occasional conference
