Imperial Dade, leading national distributor, is seeking a detail-oriented Manager, M&A Accounting and Integration to join our team in North Bergen. Join our growing mergers & acquisition accounting team based out of North Bergen, New Jersey. Individual will be responsible for on-boarding, consolidating, and analyzing the monthly financial results of newly acquired companies. He/she will work with the acquired company’s accounting personnel to understand the chart of accounts and historical accounting policies, create the opening balance sheet, prepare month-end reconciliations, and will also assist in managing third-party specialists to complete the valuation of the new business. Opportunities to get involved in special projects such as preparing the net working capital settlement and accounting policy creation are also available. Individual will work with others within the accounting department as well as with employees from multiple other departments including, financial planning and analysis, mergers and acquisitions, and tax. Travel is required.

Responsibilities:You will:
- Act as point of contact for newly acquired company’s accounting team
- Prepare monthly / quarterly reconciliations and record journal entries
- Analyze financial results and investigate results
- Incorporate automation into the month-end processes as able with collaboration with senior managers, directors, corporate controller and chief accounting officer
- Drive consistency in accounting policies and implement best practices at the newly acquired company
- Review purchase agreement and other closing documents, including third-party due diligence reports, and assist in researching accounting treatment of relevant terms and conditions
- Coordinate inventory counts, fixed asset verification counts and other due diligence procedures of newly acquired company’s material account balances
- Assist in managing third-party specialists’ valuation requests
- Assist in responding to external audit requests
- Assists in special projects and/or performs other duties as assigned
You have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related fields
- 4-5 years + experience; public accounting and purchase price allocation analysis/valuation experience is a plus
- Proficiency in Excel; working knowledge of Blackline, Real Asset Manager or ProLease, and Workiva’s W-Desk are a plus
- Travel required
