~ This role is responsible for providing the company with best-in-class onboarding, talent development programs and processes and lead internal employee communications initiatives.Major Responsibilities
~ Under the direction of the Senior Manager, Talent and Organization development, this position is responsible for developing and implementing internal communications strategies and plans that engage, align, and inspire employees with Hyundai Motor America vision, business strategy and culture, and drives employees’ understanding and engagement on company’s priorities and key initiatives.
~ Creates and produces regular employee communications in print and/or electronic formats as appropriate (including e-mail, employee portal).
~ Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums shared inboxes, internal comms portals and outlook.
~ Draft messages or scripts from senior executives for communication across the business utilizing standard templates.
~ Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different departments of the organization
~ Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly
~ Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations which affect organizational perception and reputation
~ Develops communications measurement materials to gauge effectiveness and interest level of internal audiences as well as supports external employer branding strategy for recruiting purposes (i.e. LinkedIn and Glassdoor branding)
~ Responsible for preboarding and onboarding processes ensuring a great experience for new employees and smooth start into their roles.
~ Leads weekly new employee onboarding program and bi-annual new employee cultural immersion program “First Gear”.Major Responsibilities (continued)
~ Ensuring new hires have technical assistance to properly set up their hardware/software and distribute manuals, passwords, and guidelines, as needed.
~ Evaluate current technology and drive improvements in technology and processes partnering with Talent Acquisition team.
~ Identifying innovative and creative new ways to onboard new employees/reach a more scalable and measurable onboarding experience.
~ Serving as a primary point of contact for employee communications, hiring managers, and newly hired employees.
~ Leads creation and facilitation of training materials (in-person and via virtual classroom) for all programs for all leaders, HR, employees. Content development activities to include video recording and editing, face-to-face instructor-led materials and online self-paced learning content.
~ Partners with internal stakeholders to implement all compliance related training (AOM; cybersecurity, etc.).
~Support the creation, roll out and maintenance of talent management programs, e.g., succession planning, career development, individual development plans, and HIPO development programs. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, coordinating and participating in calibration meetings, data collection, analysis, developing recommendations, building presentation materials and presenting.
~ Responsible for maintenance of online talent management system and learning management system (LMS). Takes a lead (in partnership with Hyundai AutoEver) in ensuring system updates and additional tools and technologies are implemented and rolled out in a timely manner.
~ Acts as a main liaison for HMC Global talent and learning initiatives.
~ Tracks and reports progress of talent management related initiatives to HR Leadership team.
~ Supports the creation of career development resources, e.g., job descriptions, career paths, rotations, and job enlargements.Authority
~ Manages contract resources and Talent Development associates supporting Onboarding and Internal Communications initiatives.Education~ Must be a high school graduate~ Bachelor’s degree preferred~ Master’s degree a plusRelated Experience
~ Six to seven years of experience in human resources or a training related field.
~ Prior onboarding and internal communications experience.
~ Prior talent development experience.
~ Automotive experience a plus. Skills/Knowledge
~ Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills
~ Analytical and technical skills.
~ Ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of a team.
~ Interpersonal and leadership skills.Certification Required

Actual pay will be based on skills, experience and education. Our total rewards package includes base salary, bonus and benefits.
