Who are we hiring?

The Manager, Integrated Media is responsible, under the direction of the Director, Integrated Media, for supporting the creation and implementation of best-in-class integrated media strategies across paid, earned, owned, and shared omni-channel consumer touchpoints. The Manager will understand and utilize marketing mix learning, consumer insights, communication strategy, data driven analytics and industry and marketplace knowledge. Additionally, this role will be responsible for managing the media agencies and running media campaigns in-house across owned projects. This role will work across MSG brands, including New York Rangers, New York Knicks, Westchester Knicks, and other sports or entertainment marketing priorities; and may support media planning for venues and initiatives in New York, Chicago, and other markets as needed. The Manager will work closely with Marketing Strategy, Sales Strategy, Data & Analytics, Digital Content, Digital Platforms, and Marketing Partnerships teams.

What will you do?

  • Develop integrated media strategies and recommendations across traditional, digital, and owned asset channels with insightful solutions to business problems based on business and consumer data and context.
  • Leverage historical data and performance results and insights to drive efficiencies and sales outcomes across MSG’s portfolio of brands, venues, and events.
  • Establish media goals and objectives, channel roles and responsibilities with KPIs, and learning agendas with test-and-learn and measurement plans.
  • Build, manage, and execute offline and online media campaigns in-house or with external agency partners, including TV/OTT, Radio/Audio, Out-of-Home, Programmatic, Direct Digital, Online Video, Paid Social, Paid Search, email, and emerging media.
  • Lead client and partner management, inclusive of internal and external key stakeholders, media agencies, creative teams, media vendors, data platforms, and measurement solutions.
  • Manage audience sizing and segmentation, as well as the creation, execution, testing, reporting, analysis, and optimization of digital media campaigns from programmatic / data management platforms (i.e. Salesforce) and paid social / self-serve platforms (i.e. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Spotify).
  • Support media negotiation and buying activities pushing for the best rates, placement, and added value.
  • Research historical elements of media plans and analyzing data for recommendations.
  • Calculate and report on media metrics for media planning, buying, and evaluation.
  • Support creation and approval of media agreements and contracts with agencies and media vendors, and insertion orders for media placement.
  • Create and maintain media specific documents, such as flowcharts and budgets.
  • Act as a strategic subject matter expert for media planning and marketing activation across the businesses.

What do you need to succeed?

  • 5+ years in media planning, either at media agency or client-side media department
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of traditional (i.e., TV, OOH, Print) and digital media (i.e., Programmatic, Paid Social, SEM) platforms, planning principles (insights, creative, buying, measurement), marketing mix development, media/campaign evaluation and brand health tracking
  • Understanding and execution in media platforms and dashboards like Meta Business Manager, Google AdWords, DV360, SA360, Salesforce Datorama, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Salesforce Audience Studio, Tableau
  • Strong analytical skills and understanding of KPIs/measurement planning and how to optimize media performance and analyze data and/or market research
  • Proven ability to collaborate, plan, and execute at both a strategic and operational level cross-functionally
  • Effective communicator with ability to build trust and engagement, and act as a subject matter expert and influencer at all levels
  • Strategic, creative, and innovative thinker, recognized as being solutions-oriented
  • Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills
  • Highly organized and detail oriented, with the ability to manage multiple fast-paced projects concurrently and effectively work in high-paced environment
  • Self-starter that demonstrates initiative
  • Embraces collaboration and teamwork; shares ideas / methods to improve performance
  • Computer skills required: Microsoft Office 365
