AMC has an established digital marketing practice, enabled by the AMC Stubs member database, which is a critical contributor to its corporate strategy and key across all marketing activities. The Manager, Guest Analytics will be a key member of the AMC Loyalty, CRM and Partnerships team, serving to evaluate the performance of marketing strategies for AMC and our external strategic partners. In addition to measurement, this role is expected to surface and evangelize key customer insights that will help AMC and its partners make better decisions. This role will require knowledge of the movie industry and exhibitor space, as well as a strong guest-centric understanding of each stage of the movie-going experience – you have to know the customer to know the data and therefore understand how to impact the guest most positively. The ideal candidate has operated as both a strategist and executor in a digital retail company at scale. If you instinctively write ad hoc queries in a certain way anticipating that you will soon be reusing the code for an expanded analysis; if you’ve ever thrown together a query in a meeting to answer a question someone just asked minutes ago; if you’re equally comfortable working with marketing managers as you are DBAs…then you might be a great fit for this role.

What you will be doing:

  • Uncover and evangelize key customer insights that can help marketing managers and key stakeholders across AMC and our partners make better, guest-centric decisions that drive company profitability
  • Execute targeted database marketing campaigns across digital channels including: email, paid media, SMS and Push Notifications
  • Build execution processes that scale while adopting a continuous improvement mindset
  • Work collaboratively with internal (marketing managers) and AMC strategic partners
  • Create self-service tools and provide training for marketing managers to enable the creation of program analyses
  • Provide thought leadership around data best practices and partner with analytics and IT colleagues data best practices that facilitate speedy, quality execution
What we need from you:
  • 4+ years hands-on experience in marketing or operational analytics
  • Data analysis and statistical analysis experience
  • Experience in B2C, retail-oriented industries with high velocity and scale, such as: eCommerce, hospitality/travel, entertainment, retail
  • Strong knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and MS Excel
  • Experience working closely with technical and marketing teams
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate technical requirements to an IT audience
  • Problem-solving mindset
What we also value (preferred):
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Analytics or related field
  • 6-10 years in marketing or operational analytics
  • Experience with statistical modeling packages (R, Python) and Google Analytics
  • Experience across multiple industries
  • Predictive modeling experience
