Sales, training, incentive, brand marketing and press events are a core part of Beautycounter's business. The company holds 50+ annual events ranging from conventions <4,000 attendees and a multi-million dollar budget, quarterly trainings, Consultant sales incentive trips, and brand awareness events throughout the year.

In support of Beautycounter's growth, the company is seeking a Manager, Events to support the production logistics, planning and execution of events for the company. The Manager, Events will report to the Director, Events.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Experience in events at a well-respected organization for a corporate, consumer products or services company.
  • Experience partnering with Marketing, Sales and Product teams to conceptualize and develop long term event plans and strategies that drive revenue growth and attendee experience.
  • Experience securing, planning and execution of business training, sales events and activations of similar scope and scale (>800 attendees, $800K+ budget), including contract negotiation, venue selection, event production, and vendor management.
  • Leading internal and external teams and event partners to own and execute complete projects from creative brief, project updates, on-site management and reconciliation.
  • Precise budget management, including development, tracking, and balancing.
  • Responsible for housing blocks, transportation, food and beverage, room setups, environment, décor, AV, entertainment and various other event logistics.
  • Strong problem solving and project management skills, including the ability to juggle many priorities at the same time; strong attention to detail.
  • Eye for executing events true to the Beautycounter lifestyle brand.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Ability to work with team members in multiple departments effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to work in high stress, fast paced environment and multi-task with effective organizational skills.
  • Nimble and entrepreneurial in nature – past success in an environment with limited resources.
  • Familiarity with Direct Selling industry is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 30 lbs.

Qualifications:

Work Experience:

  • At least 3-5 years of experience leading events, project management and logistics
  • At least 3-5 years experience coordinating special events.
  • Hotel and venue sourcing and contracting experience
  • Experience working with agencies, vendors and contractors
  • Proficient using the latest versions of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Hours & Travel:

  • 30% travel required
  • Standard hours are Monday-Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm PST however working hours may vary based on event timing
  • Evening, weekend and travel for extended periods of time may be required

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience required.
Pay: $57k – $91k for work locations in the United States, with individual pay determined by several factors including, but not limited to, job-related skills, experience, education, and training. Salary ranges are determined in good faith by role, level, and location. As a remote-eligible job, a narrower salary range for a candidate's preferred location may be available.

Bonus: Additional compensation includes an annual discretionary bonus based on company and individual performance.
