Job description
Responsible for the day-to-day operational activities of the practice(s), both clinical and clerical. Facilitates a team effort in the delivery of quality patient care. Creates a team-like attitude and approach to practice functions and management. Assumes the responsibility for the risk management of the practice.
- Supervises, directs and schedules office staff according to patient and physician needs
- Facilitates and/or participates in the interviewing, hiring, orientation, and training of new office staff.
- Promotes a team effort in the delivery of quality care using specialized knowledge, judgment and skill as a framework
- Utilizes knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding to monitor appropriate utilization of services
- Develops and monitors budgets for the office
- Serves as a resource to compliance with OSHA/CLIA regulations
- Attends all regularly scheduled office manager meetings/seminars
- Answers and follows up with all patient concerns, complaints and comments concerning the practice
- Performs related accountabilities/responsibilities as required or directed
Required:
- Graduation from an accredited high school or its equivalent
- At least five (5) years of experience in healthcare management and/or relevant experience with a related college degree
- In depth knowledge of EHR systems. Understanding of claim queues, billing logs and claim logs
