Job description

Works with business partners to leverage existing data sources to drive financial, operational, and risk mitigation solutions. Leads technical and report developers who design and build online reports and dashboards by writing complex code like SQL, VB, Java, DAX, MDX and use BI software like Tableau, SAP BO and PowerBI. Oversees the team to develop and maintain technical and discipline best practices, provide estimates for project plans, and deliver reports within established timelines. Develops and maintains effective working relationships with the business community, understanding their informational and operational needs while ensuring they are informed of how organizational BI strategy affects them via training and documented reporting policies.

Qualifications

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Operations Management, Business Analysis, or Business Administration or equivalent work experience is required
  • 7+ years’ experience in formal business intelligence and reporting systems analysis/configuration analysis is required
  • Combination of 10 years’ experience in Business Intelligence, Data Management experience including data modeling and data flows, Project Planning/Management, Process Development/Improvement, Data Mining/Analysis, Use Case Design/Documentation, Technical Issue Analysis/Resolution, Data and Workflow Design, Business Gathering/Definition, Cost Benefit Analysis, Proposal Generation
  • 5+ years’ experience with using mainstream BI tools like MS SQL, SAP BO, or Data tools that support adhoc and ongoing reporting
  • 3+ Years managing small to medium size teams of analysts/ developers.
  • Experience using Microsoft DevOps required
  • Experience in working in an agile environment is required
Knowledge And Skills:
  • Demonstrated Leadership skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong working knowledge of Database, Business Intelligence and Reporting Tools and principals
  • Ability to collaborate within the organization and across product teams
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, and ability to communicate to both business and technical experts at various levels throughout the organization
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and ensure assignments are delivered on time with a firm commitment to quality
  • Working knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, procedures and systems. HSB practices and systems preferred
  • Strong knowledge of both Waterfall and Agile methodologies
  • Ability to document and follow complex and/or detailed technical procedures
  • Strong process orientation, critical thinking, problem solving & troubleshooting skills to set up and interpret logic, data tables, and rule relationships
  • Independently performs advanced analysis and systems designs along with providing guidance to less experienced personnel
  • MS Office (Windows, Word, Excel, Power BI, Office360, SharePoint, Visio, Project, Devops)
