What You’ll Be Doing
- Instruct and supervise Engineer I’s & II’s
- Communicate with department managers concerning building needs and budget
- Able to work without direct supervision
- Possess basic electrical knowledge, basic plumbing knowledge and basic HVAC knowledge
- Mechanically inclined
- Able to teach skills and knowledge to Engineer I’s and II’s
- Required to plan, resource, and execute medium to large projects sometimes by yourself and other times with help from other team members
- Strong interaction with guests as you will be called to fix a problem they have found during their stay with Greenleaf Hospitality Group
- Able to prioritize work and complete paperwork everyday
- Inventory, order, and track parts to complete work orders
- Maintain a clean work area and clean up daily
- Respond to all guest’s requests in a timely and efficient manner
- Respond or perform duties of a groundskeeper
- Complete work order requests in a timely manner
- Maintain all mechanical areas in an orderly and clean condition
- Inspect public areas daily for any issues
- After hours on-call availability if an issue arises, available some weekends
- Providing maintenance repairs to guestrooms, public areas and administrative offices
- Repairs may include plumbing, kitchen, mechanical, laundry, electrical, heating, cooling, ventilation, furnishings and fixtures, painting, wall cover repairs, light carpentry, door and window repairs
- Maintain the Rooms Preventative Maintenance Program and consistently keep updated records on file
- Able to adjust labor schedule to work around incoming work orders
- Required to plan, resource and execute medium to large projects
- Gain and utilize knowledge of hotel building
Qualifications:
What You Need for this Position
- 5 years of experience and completed a certified training course in a chosen discipline or experience and skills equaling those of a trade journeyman.
- Licensed and certified to perform all aspects of work in a selected discipline
- Certification as a maintenance Employee through American Hotel & Lodging Educational or nstitute and /or complete apprenticeship program (Radisson/KVCC) is highly preferred but not required.
- Read blueprints and schematic drawings.
- Possess basic electrical knowledge, basic plumbing knowledge and basic HVAC knowledge.
- Certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Read, write and use basic math skills
- Follow written and verbal instructions
- Long periods of Standing and Sitting
- Able to stoop and bend
- Able to handle responsibilities that may require repetitive motion tasks
- Strong communication and analytical skills with an attention to detail
- Ability to provide a majority of your own tools
- Physical ability to lift and carry 80 pounds, climb ladders, work with power tools, and be able to work in and around mechanical equipment
