Mid-Continent Coal and Coke is a 80 year old, privately held company is looking for a Full-time Mechanical Technician in the Huger, SC area. If you are looking for a long term career with diverse duties, this may be the perfect position for you!
Responsibilities/skills required include:
- Experience in Millwright work required
- Experience in Welding and Repair
- Knowledge of Pulley, Conveyors, Bearings, Shafts, Valves, Gas, Air, and Pneumatic.
- Prefer knowledge of Electrical Systems, Schematics and Maintenance Program (Inventory, Work orders, etc.)
- Proficient knowledge of heavy equipment routine/predictive maintenance, a plus
Candidates must also be able to follow specific detailed instructions and work in a safety-oriented manner. Comfortable with PPE including fall protection; harness and lanyard, etc. The position is year-round, but much of the work is done in an outdoor environment during various weather conditions.
Additional requirements include:
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and move 100 lbs
- Ability and willingness to work overtime as required
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screening and when requested. This includes a hair follicle and urinalysis test.
