Maintenance Supervisor

Waterloo, Iowa - Full Time

Productive Resources (www.productiveresources.com) is seeking a candidate to be part of our engineering team at our customer's facility in Waterloo, Iowa. As a member of our team, the selected candidate will coordinate, schedule, and provide leadership to hourly wage employees on non-routine and self-directed tasks required to meet safety, quality, delivery, and efficiency objectives.

This is a full-time position that is indefinite in duration with the opportunity of professional growth, and additional opportunities within our organization.

Duties:

• Establish employee environment regarding communications, feedback, and overall guidance.
• Ensure that assigned personnel have appropriate training, work instruction and tools to successfully do their job.
• Monitor Control Plans, troubleshoots workmanship problems, and supervises production activities to ensure that manufactured products meet or exceed all established quality requirements.
• Administer employee policies, practices, procedures, and work rules appropriate for the unit.
• Monitor individual and line performance and takes corrective action including discipline, as needed and responds to complaints to ensure the Company and employees adheres to policies, practices, procedures and work rules.
• Determines manufacturing and/or distribution priorities based on the production schedule and makes daily assignments including filling vacancies and assigning overtime in order to adhere to the Customer Delivery date.
• Plan for maintenance of equipment and facilities to maximize the uptime and utilization of capital equipment assets.
• Monitor and make corrections to stay within the department operating budget targets.
• Direct departmental continuous improvement plans and activities.
• Implement and monitor safety programs and housekeeping.

Requirements:

• 2 or more years of production/manufacturing supervisory experience.
• MS Office experience, including Excel.
• Must have great people skills and a great communicator.
• Must be organized and have project management experience.
• Comfortable with leading hourly employees and working in a factory environment.
• 2-year technical degree or applicable experience.
• Ability to work second shift (2 pm to 10:30 pm). Overtime is likely.
