ABOUT THE ROLE: We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to join our team. The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing the maintenance of plant equipment and structures to produce the highest quality product at optimum cost and with a minimum of downtime. This position supervises the overall Maintenance Department and focuses on schedules, Contract service, and always follows company policy.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Directly supervise maintenance activities, including scheduling, parts procurement, equipment surveys, expenditure approvals, performance reviews, company policy enforcement, and monitoring of routine contractor service and departmental communication - 70%
- Confer with Engineering Manager on project planning and priorities - 10%
- Maintain MP2 maintenance information/equipment history - 10%
- Always Observe and practice safety and housekeeping procedures.
- Attend and/or conduct Safety Meetings
SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Departmental reports such as downtime, equipment expenditures, employee productivity, etc. - 5%
- Perform all requirements of sanitation, GMP/HACCP standards, including hairnet where required, and personal hygiene policies - 5%
- Other duties as assigned
Direct Reports: All hourly Maintenance Mechanics
In addition to managing current direct reports; this position manages all employees of the department and is responsible for the performance management within that department.
- Responsible for interviewing, selecting, and training direct reports.
- Is responsible for reviewing performance and administering corrective action.
- Plans the work schedules, assigns duties, tracks absenteeism and reviews work to ensure quality standards.
- Responsible for monitoring work for legal or regulatory compliance.
- Observe and practice safety and housekeeping procedures at all times.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
Required:
- Must have at least 7 years combined experience as a mechanic and foreman

Possess very good organizational and personnel skills
- Strong Electrical and Mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Background in PLC Programming and troubleshooting control systems.

Individuals must provide basic hand tools and be able to operate: forklifts & miscellaneous shop equipment.

Completion of 2 years of college or trade school specializing in the industrial, mechanical or electrical field of study
