Job Summary

The Maintenance Store Room Clerk reports to the Maintenance Manager. He/she works in conjunction with the Maintenance Manager, Maintenance Supervisors; interfaces with Manufacturing, Engineering, Safety, Purchasing, Shipping and Receiving, and with internal as well as with external customers of the Maintenance Department. The primarily responsibilities of the maintenance store room clerk is to maintain an adequate spare parts inventory, work with input from the customer on regards to parts, materials, and equipment needed for repair and maintenance of equipment and facilities. This position requires some experience and knowledge of purchasing, inventory, and background in computer programs. He/she must be able to work with minimum supervision and have the self-discipline to carryout necessary orders for projects and requests in a quality, timely, and professional manner. Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks.

Primary Responsibilities

• Writes requisitions to procure maintenance supplies, checks inventory levels and re-orders parts, materials, and equipment as needed to maintain a proper stocking level, works with shipping and receiving to pick up orders and re-stock or issue materials to the proper personnel.
• Will enter all inventory items, description, vendor information, and all relating information associated with the ordering of inventory items and equipment.
• Assist on initiating purchase orders as needed, and maintain the inventory in our CMMS System.
• Maintain all tooling equipment inventory
• Maintain the highest ethical standards, even when challenged from above
• Understand and live by Armtec’s ethics and business conduct policies

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service skills
• Knowledge of computers, excellent organizational skills and basic knowledge in Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
• Written and verbal communication skills in English
• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Good mechanical and personal aptitude, knowledge of hand and power tools and ability to identify different sizes of plumbing fittings, hoses, and fasteners.
• Must be dependable, responsible, and accurate and have the ability to deal with people effectively.
