Maintenance Support Specialist / Inventory Control
Essential Functions/Responsibilities
- This role reports to the Maintenance Leader.
- Aids daily shift start-up. Ensures shift turn-over is detailed, well communicated, and understood by the Maintenance Team.
- Assist day-to-day coordination of facilities and maintenance parts inventory accuracy and stock levels with the maintenance crib.
- Contact suppliers as needed and continual follow-up to expedite services, parts, tools, and supplies to Maintenance.
- Contact suppliers to competitively bid, purchase, track, and invoicing of all maintenance MRO items and preventative maintenance parts and assets.
- Assist day-to-day dispatching of maintenance technicians and contracted personnel and coordination of maintenance activities (internal and external suppliers).
- Review, prioritize, and communicate daily work assignments, to shift(s) and turnover between shifts.
- Overall Safety observer: expected to note and correct safety issues and/or behaviors thru Gen Suite Concern Reports.
- Assist / Facilitate and track Facilities Maintenance continuous improvement projects, Quality Thursday / Kaizen report outs.
- Coordinate w/Operations Leader overtime scheduling & acceptance/refusal information
- Assist in resolution of daily shop problems.
- Provide input to Maintenance Operation Leaders and Facilities Manager on Quality, Safety, Productivity
- Maintain Facilities Maintenance archives/library of all technical documentation (drawings, flow charts, manuals, etc.) on all equipment/processes in the plant.
- Maintain inventory of centralized materials and supplies that support maintenance operation.
- Ensure proper completion and filing of all required maintenance check sheets and reports to include PM’s, Work Orders, Hot Work Permits, Confined Space Entry Permits, Startup Check Sheets and Lock Out / Tag Out Sheets.
- Identify and reduce all forms of variation and waste in your processes.
- Coordinate, edit, write Standard Work / Job Plans in Maximo your maintenance and operational processes.
- Drive company truck to pick-up/make deliveries.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Track and update CMMS comments on all work orders to include actions to date, part statuses, closure comments & proper ADL, and resolve vendor/contractor issues
- Monitor and resolve work orders and PM’s at/over 30-days to maintain Facility Department’s KPI targets.
- Expedite critical equipment repairs and minimize downtime.
Basic Qualifications
- Two Year Associates degree required.
- HS Diploma/GED.
- At least one year of experience performing maintenance service repairs or proficient knowledge and understanding of facility operations, layout and equipment nomenclature.
- Must be flexible with work hours. Must be willing to work early-in, late, and/or overtime on short notice when requested. May be required to come in on short notice to support operations during/after severe weather / emergency events.
- Strong computer skills. Strong communication and interpersonal Skills.
Eligibility Requirements

- Must be willing to work weekends when requested.
- Valid driver’s license.
Desired Characteristics
- Familiar with Maximo CMMS work order system. Assist team members on Maximo maintenance tasks.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Maintenance Operations, Quality, Safety, Shop computer systems and Shop Support Requirements
- Strong mechanical aptitude, electrical aptitude, and knowledge of plant industrial operations.
- Demonstrated ability to work within a team environment.
- Dependable & accountable self-starter.
- Demonstrated organizational skills.
- Demonstrated knowledge of Enterprise Systems such as Maximo, Oracle, SAP, CMMS purchasing systems.

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
