**This position is on first shift only, typical schedule is 5am - 1pm
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform and document preventive maintenance according to established schedules
- Utilize equipment manuals, blueprints and electrical schematics to troubleshoot equipment malfunctions
- Perform repairs on equipment as needed
- Install new equipment or relocate existing equipment within the Foundry
- Notify Maintenance Manager of repairs that must be performed by outside maintenance or electrical vendors
- Complete fabrication and millwork tasks according to work orders
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, including, but not limited to lock out tag out
- Occasionally required to help/assist new or transferred employees on equipment operation
- Exercise proper care of tools and equipment
- Must be able to work mandatory overtime as needed
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- 2-year related technical college education or applicable years of experience
- Experience with mig,stick and arc welding
- Basic understanding of pneumatic, hydraulic and mechanical systems
- Basic understanding of electrical systems up to 480 volts and PLC programs/Ladder Logic
- Experience in a foundry environment preferred
EQUIPMENT/TOOLS:
- Lifting equipment and devices
- Man lifts/baskets
- Welding equipment
- Electrical metering equipment
- Forklift
- Hand tools
WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to lift up to 35 pounds on a regular basis and up to 70 pounds on a periodic basis.
- Stand for extended periods of time up to 10 hours per day.
- May be required to wear respirator or air supplied hoods as required
- Able to work at heights up to 40 ft.
- Ability to move within office and manufacturing complex and write by hand and/or type.
- Ability to communicate by speech and hearing via phone and in person.
- Visual acuity needed for close detail work and computer use.
- Exposed to any number of elements, but none continuously present to the extent of being disagreeable.
