We are currently looking for a great candidate to fill the role of Customer Service Representative.

Work Schedule:
Sunday - 10:00am - 4:00pm
Monday - 8:00am - 5:00pm
Tuesday - 8:00am - 2:30pm
Wednesday - OFF
Thursday - OFF
Friday - 8:00am - 2:30pm
Saturday - 8:00am - 2:30pm

  • 30 hours/week
  • Location: Coachella Valley Storage, Indio, CA

POSITION SUMMARY: The qualified candidate will be energetic, proactive, with a keen attention to detail and a passion for helping people. You will listen to the customers current situation and needs for storage. You will become an expert in self-storage by processing move-ins, managing the leasing process, take ownership of the day-to-day tasks and manage customer complaints.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting property tours for prospective tenants and helping them determine the appropriate size storage unit to fit their needs.
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Responds effectively to customers requesting to close their accounts, determining the reason and offering possible alternatives.
  • Keep records of customer interactions, process customer accounts and file documents
  • Provide timely resolution of customer complaints, concerns, and inquiries.
  • Prepare daily deposits and letters
  • Prepare and submit reports and correspondence as needed.
  • Generate rental leads in person and over the phone and following up with reservations and inquiries
  • Conduct daily walk throughs and lock checks of property.
  • Ensure units are clean, in good working condition, and ready for new tenants.
  • Maintain physical condition and appearance of property grounds and outside perimeter.
  • General office duties (filing, checking/responding to e-mails, generating reports, etc.)
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by management.

SKILLS:

  • Proven customer support experience or experience as a client service representative
  • Ability to adapt/respond to different types of characters
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
  • Basic computer skills

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to work Saturdays and Sundays
  • Valid driver’s license and insurance with access to reliable transportation
  • Must be willing to submit a background check

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • Frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl
  • Continually required to talk or hear
  • Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items up to 50 pounds
  • Frequent exposure to outside weather conditions
