Job description
Stamford Health is looking for a Fulltime Maintenance Mechanic. This position is a Monday through Friday from 7a-3p.
Responsible for a variety of routine maintenance duties related to the repair, maintenance, and adjustment of all building fixtures. May assist in the maintenance, installation and repair of machinery and equipment. Maintains the facility in a clean and safe condition. Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities over time.
Required Skills
Computer literate.
High School/GED equivalent required
Trade/vocational school graduate with relevant healthcare maintenance experience preferred
Required Experience
Troubleshoots problems, and requests.
Performs minor electrical repairs based on skills with oversight form E1.
Performs routine maintenance and repairs as assigned. (i.e. change light bulbs, oil hinges, clear plugged drains, patching/painting, and reports major repair needs.) Basic carpentry skills. 3. Assist tradesman as needed in areas of major repair and installation.
Orders and maintains supplies.
Responds to special function requests.
Complies with established personal protective equipment requirements necessary for protection against exposure to blood and other potentially infectious body fluids, chemical disinfectants, radiation, asbestos and other hazardous substances.
