General Purpose:

The Maintenance & Engineering Manager takes ownership in quality control process from annual reporting to spot inspections to coordinating with Maintenance and Housekeeping and working with homeowners. Employee will have a detailed knowledge of all units on the rental program including property condition and maintenance issues.

Essential Duties:

· Oversee the Maintenance Department’s daily operation.

· Ensure all maintenance requests, concerns and duties are completed according to standards. This may include outside contractors for specialized projects.

· Employee will be responsible for financial reporting to the General Manager.

Assist in creating, monitoring and being accountable for departmental budgets; includes payroll, purchases, supplies, and all other associated expenses.

· Is familiar with all rental program participant homeowners. Establishes a positive working relationship with homeowners and brings to the attention of Director all issues identified by the homeowner. Communicates effectively with owners.

· Monitors guest comment cards for complaints relative to cottage condition.

· Inspects homeowner arrivals each day. Utilizes cottage picture books to Spot-check cottages on owner arrivals for overall appearance, and condition.

· Monitor all work orders to ensure correct placement into the V1 system. The Manager will confirm timely completion, and follow-up with vendors if needed.

· Coordinates repairs and maintenance as needed whether requested by a homeowner, maintenance, housekeeping, or front desk. Follows up to ensure that repairs are completed properly.

· Inspects deep cleans performed on cottages to ensure homeowner satisfaction.

· During the season if necessary, responsible for performing necessary tasks required by the departments billing process, which includes, closing out work orders, tracking invoices and posting cost to homeowner accounts.

· Other duties as assigned.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $60,000.00 per year
