ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

This person will report to the Manager Maintenance & Engineering and be responsible for the maintenance services which are necessary to achieve maximum financial benefit from the plant’s capital expenditures, maintenance expenditures, production equipment and fixed assets.

· Drive and promote safety culture within the site including subcontractors, suppliers and visitors
· Manages and Performs Safety Audit and Follow Up Items.
· Responsible for the Safety of the Maintenance Department
· Manages the Daily Approval Meetings (DAM), Planner and Waiting to be Scheduled Work Backlogs, with the Maintenance Team.
· Creates and Manages Planned Work Orders, Job Plans, PMs, Critical Spares List, Item Masters and the Equipment Tree
· Works with and Manages Vendors and Contractors for materials and services.
· Continuously optimizing PMs from analyzing feedback on Work Orders and delays to increase minimize equipment downtime.
· Works closely with Production Planning and Operating to identify opportunities for planned work.

· Manages Major Maintenance (Outage) and Minor Cap Ex Projects
· Supports and guides department on the Identification and the Repair of Spares
· Creates and Manages Material and Purchase Requests
· · Monitors equipment reliability metrics and partners with the operations team to prioritize work and improvements.
· Deploy, manage, and improve predictive maintenance programs, including Thermography, Vibration, and Ultrasound technologies
· Execution of planned and unplanned maintenance work and activities
· Managing the Maintenance Department’s organization.
· Continually monitors, evaluates and drives improvements to our Maintenance Process.
· Develops and conducts presentations on Maintenance Departments’ performances.
· Responsible of all aspects of the Maintenance Department. The Identification, Planning, and Execution of Maintenance work.

REQUIREMENTS

EDUCATION A minimum of a Undergraduate technical degree (BSME or BSEE) or Two year associate degree in a maintencane discipline with 5 years of experience in maintenance.

EXPERIENCE This individual will possess:

  • 5 years of experience managing a Miantenance Department.
  • Strong Mechanical and Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Heavy to Light Manufacturing Maintenance ExperienceCentralize Maintenance Management System (CMMS)- Maximo Preferred
  • Knowledge and Experience with Implementing Equipment Reliability Practices and Procedures
  • Strong PC skills, including Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work in teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Experience in a Union environment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Approximately 75% of the job function is performed in an office setting requiring normal safety precautions. 25% of the job function is required in the plant. There is exposure to operating machinery and a manufacturing environment.
