Position Title:

Maintenance Staff

Full Time (40 hrs per week)

Starting Salary $18.00 per hr

General Description: Assists facilities manager with the overall repair & maintenance of physical plant and grounds.

Qualifications:

• A strong personal commitment to Christ and to the mission of the United Methodist Church.
• Strong knowledge of general building maintenance that includes carpentry, plumbing and electrical.
• Experience in maintaining multi building physical plant and preventive maintenance requirements. Available for flexible hours and weekly schedules.
• Ability to follow instruction, receive training and operator without direct supervision.
• Ability to work with other people of various cultural backgrounds.
• Ability and knowledge to handle small repairs.
• Excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Will follow and complete preventative maintenance required for all major areas of the physical plant.
• Will complete assignments as provided.
• Works with any 3rd party maintenance vendors as deemed necessary.
• Helps to ensure all buildings meet or exceed all local, state and federal safety and environmental codes.
• Completes maintenance and repair logs with accuracy and timeliness.
• Attends any training provided or deemed required for the position.
• Attend designated staff meetings and church functions as deemed necessary by church policy and/or the Pastor
• Present monthly written report of activities to the Board of Trustees.
• Makes all minor repairs as appropriate.
• Willing to participate in church wide programs, i.e.; Pumpkin Patch, Snowfest, etc.
• Complete all other duties that maybe assigned to you by the Senior Pastor and/or the Staff Parish Committee.
• Oversees budgetary expenses and purchases for this department.
• Responsible for parsonage maintenance and repairs as well as all church/school buildings.
• Maintains storage areas in safe and orderly conditions.
• Attend annual facilities walk through with Board of Trustees, Staff Parish Committee and Pastor

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
