Maintenance Facilitator Main Responsibilities:
- Planning, assigning, and directing maintenance work on all three shifts.
- Oversee maintenance projects including outside contractors
- Maintain and update facility and equipment within facility.
- Study production needs and estimate and track hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
- Establishes or adjust work schedules to meet production needs.
- Maintain systems and equipment by completing preventive maintenance schedules; restoring, repairing rebuilding, or replacing faulty or inoperative components and parts; supervising staff.
- Ensure all systems and machines are running at optimal levels to ensure production can obtain goals.
- Implement and manage CMMS program to schedule PM's, work orders, and inventory control.
- Improve function and reliability of facility systems and equipment by studying performance results, identifying, recommending, and implementing changes, expansions and additions.
- Maintain function and reliability of facility systems and equipment by implementing a preventive maintenance program; operating and testing systems and equipment; restoring, repairing, rebuilding or replacing faulty or inoperative components or parts.
- Confers with other managers to coordinate activities/projects of individual departments.
- Contact and work with outside contractors on special projects.
- Oversee preventative maintenance.
- Promote the maintenance of a safe, clean and healthy work environment by adhering to company safety program.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists teammates in resolving work problems.
- Assist in the recruiting, interviewing, hiring, and training of new employees.
- Promote various continual improvement efforts.
Maintenance Facilitator Key Requirements:
- Two year certificate from technical school or equivalent and five to ten years related experience and/or training.
- Ability to manage maintenance personnel.
- Technical and mechanical leadership and understanding (pneumatic, hydraulic, electrical, etc.), equipment maintenance.
- Excellent verbal and written skills and the ability to communicate effectively in English to all levels.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Ability to problem solve in a fast-paced environment.
- Organizational skills to improve productivity, safety, cleanliness and health.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
- Boiler's license helpful.
