Maintenance Engineer

Reports to: Maintenance Manager

Department: Maintenance

The person selected for this position is responsible for evaluating existing processes and configuring manufacturing systems to reduce cost, improve sustainability, and develop best practices within the production process. This person will develop, implement, monitor, and maintain efficient manufacturing processes and workflow, for assembly products using PFMA (Potential Failure Mode Analysis). This person will also develop and improve manufacturing processes by studying product and manufacturing methods.

Summary of Job Duties:

  • Interact with engineers, production, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projects and products.
  • Program PLCs and computers to make equipment safer, faster, or more efficient.
  • Design, implement, maintain, and improve electrical panels, equipment, and systems.
  • Direct and coordinate manufacturing, construction, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities.
  • Inspect completed installations and observe operations, to ensure conformance to design and equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standards.
  • Research new engineering projects for payback and feasibility.
  • Create bills of material for projects.
  • Train maintenance technicians and department heads, as necessary.
  • Use Auto Cad to create electrical and mechanical drawings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Associate Degree in S.T.E.M. and 4 years of work experience in related field (Bachelor’s Degree in S.T.E.M. preferred).
  • Work experience in the disciplines of Electrical, Mechanical, and/or Industrial engineering.
  • Travel required and Motor Vehicle Records Screening (MVR) required.
  • Needs to be a self-starter and be able to do independent work.
  • Deep interest and knowledge about quality control measures and techniques used in manufacturing.
  • Must have good planning and processing skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

  • 12 hour shift
