Maintenance and Renovation Team Lead
Job description
Looking for a professional to oversee maintenance and home renovation operation at a manufactured housing community. The position is responsible for maintaining the grounds of the community as well as renovating acquired used mobile homes and units turned over by vacating tenants. This position reports directly to Touchstone’s Director of Infrastructure & Maintenance.
Goals
- A clean, orderly appearance for the park, well organized warehouse and inventory, and equipment in good working order;
- A well functioning team of workers held accountable for their work product and motivated by clearly communicated goals from their manager;
- Efficient, consistent throughput of fully renovated, inspected, “lease-ready” homes.
Required Qualifications:
- Ability to manage, motivate and hold accountable a team of workers of varying background and skill.
- Detail oriented enough to keep track of materials and labor costs across specific assets, worker schedules, “critical path” construction schedules for home and lot renovations and requisite state and local authority inspections.
- Skilled at general carpentry, basic electrical and plumbing repair and solid all around knowledge of all the trades.
- A personality that can handle adversity and frequent change with a management style that is firm but fair, motivating, goal oriented and based on clear and consistent communication.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Trade skills suitable for performing and training others on electrical, plumbing, flooring, cabinets, doors, windows, bathrooms, stairs and decks, painting and general repair.
- Computer proficiency including Gmail and Google chat, managing Excel spreadsheets, task management, data entry and reporting in our rent management software.
Experience:
- Maintenance: 5 years (Preferred)
- Construction: 3 years (Preferred)
- Crew management: 3 years (Preferred)
- Manufactured housing: 3 years (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $40,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
