Integrate innovative machine shop solutions across Honeywell. You will lead and engage in multi-disciplined machine shop focused projects that support the organization's business strategies. You will have a direct impact on business unit, function and overall site success.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyzing specification prints and drawings to gain a thorough understanding of requirements
- Able to load programs into machines and light editing (if needed)
- Setting up equipment required to complete each step of the manufacturing plan
- Operating equipment to carry out each step correctly
- Monitoring the production process and intervening when problems arise
- Inspecting finished parts for flaws and defects
- Maintaining equipmentRun CNC programs to produce parts to dimensional/tolerance requirements
- Participate in brainstorming / problem solving with Engineering & Production personnel to solve related problems
- Perform preventative maintenance to equipment
- Working knowledge of various measuring gages: calipers, micrometers, pin gages, dial indicator, screw pitch gage, height gage, and comparator stand/gage
- Ability to interact effectively with peers, management, manufacturing personnel, and both technical and non-technical people.
YOU MUST HAVE
- High School Diploma
- Completion of formal Apprenticeship Program
- 5 years of relevant work experience
WE VALUE
At least 5 years of relevant machining experience
Ability to analyze information and concepts
Ability to collaborate with others and work independently
Ability to identify key details
Ability to troubleshoot
Good coordination, motor skills, and dexterity
Creative thinking and idea generation
Some experience in the machine shop
Ability to communicate information clearly
