Machine Shop Superintendent – Night Shift

A Chattanooga area privately owned and operated machining and fabrication business is currently seeking a Machine Shop Superintendent. Our growing company focuses on high specification industries and we are looking for the right person to lead our Machine Shop. Primary Responsibilities:

• Directs manufacturing personnel through implementation of work instruction to ensure customer technical and schedule requirements are achieved
• Supervises manufacturing personnel
• Responsible for delegation and follow-up of day-to-day activities among direct reports
• Supports and continually improves strict guidelines for manufacturing safety program.
• Manages maintenance program for all manufacturing equipment
• Drives consistent continuous improvement culture within manufacturing

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• 8 years minimum manufacturing management experience in high specification markets, specifically machining of closer tolerance parts
• Machinist background preferred
• Proven ability to craft a departmental vision, motivate, and effectively lead the manufacturing team to achieve goals
• Associates Degree in related technical field - BS degree a plus
• Ability to make management decisions in a fast paced, complex, and fluid manufacturing environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate technical instructions as well as vision for the department
• Ability to professionally communicate with customers and vendors

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
