Job Purpose

Help with general clean up and organization of the shop.

Job Description

· Follow safe work habits and safety rules.

· Maintain clean shop floor by clearing metal chips or other fragments and washing the floors.

· Clean Break Rooms

· Empty trash and maintain hygienic work environment.

· Wash and clean machines after use.

· Grind and debur machined parts.

· Tack weld baffles together for Machinists.

· Saw material to required specifications.

· Empty chip dumpster and move parts in and out of the shop.

· Operate forklift.

· Operate overhead crane.

· Assist Machinists as required.

· Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications/Licensing:

· Ability to communicate and cooperate with coworkers and share workspace

· Ability to operate power saw, grinder, and other tools required by the position.

Education

· High School Diploma or GED

Experience

· Previous work experience in a manufacture/fabrication environment a plus

· Able to follow detail instructions

· Excellent communication skills

· Forklift certified or willing to be certified

· Understanding of power tools safety protocols

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $19.00 per hour
