Job Description:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adherence to all company health and safety policies to ensure a safe work environment.
- Pull specified inventoried materials listed on the job paperwork or from the direction of the Group Leader.
- Cut steel utilizing saw.
- Responsible for machine set ups and operations to meet the production demands.
- Follow direction of the Group Leader and to assist in the loading and unloading of transfer trucks as needed.
- Maintain general work area keeping the equipment and area clean and free of excess debris daily.
- Perform daily, weekly and monthly preventive maintenance on departmental equipment.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Must have basic blueprint reading skills.
- Must be able to read a tape measure.
- Experience with band saws.
- Able to use basic hand tools including grinders.
- Handle materials with forklifts and overhead cranes as needed.
- Climb portable ladders.
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
ADA Physical/Mental/Workplace Requirements
- Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Able to stand (75%); walk (20%); stoop, kneel or crouch (5%), as required.
- Able to wear safety glasses and foot protection throughout shift.
- Able to wear hearing protectors (ear plugs) throughout the shift while working in an environment with moderate noise levels.
