The Eagle Internal Medicine clinic is looking to hire a team-oriented and confident Medical Assistant! This position is located at the Eagle Health Plaza, off of Highway 44.

About this Position: This position will primarily support a busy and established physician who will work with Internal Medicine and Geriatrics primary care patients. In this role you will also support MAs and other providers when needed and for cross training. At this clinic you may perform POC testing, immunizations, rooming, vitals, med refills, patient calls and triage, and assisting with minor procedures when needed.

This clinic is unique in that it is a patient-centered medical home (PCMH) where the clinic acts as a care team model that is responsible for the patient’s physical and mental health care needs, including prevention and wellness, acute care, and chronic care. The patient population tends to be older and has chronic conditions so visits tend to be scheduled for 30 minutes and 60 minutes for new patients.

An ideal candidate will enjoy working with the older population, developing relationships with patients, is efficient and hard working, and has a desire to learn!

Work Schedule: This position will work 40 hours per week, Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays, 6:45am - 4:15pm, Wednesdays, 8:00am - 12pm, flexibility needed.

About Internal Medicine: For patients with complex medical needs, many see tremendous health benefits when establishing a regular relationship with an internal medicine provider. In addition to health promotion and disease prevention, Saint Alphonsus internal medicine providers are specially trained to diagnose and treat chronic and complex conditions, often caring for patients with more than one disease. Our physicians work closely with our certified nurse practitioners (NP-C) to coordinate treatment and allow for easier access to follow up appointments – including annual wellness visits and procedures.

Education and Certification Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• MA certification required within 90 days of eligibility to take a national certification exam from one of the following Saint Alphonsus approved agencies:
• American Association of Medical Assistants (CMA)

• American Medical Technologists (RMA)

• National Healthcare Association (CCMA)

• National Center for Competency Testing (NCMA)

• American Registry of Medical Assistants (ARMA)

• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers certification from either AHA, ARC or the Military Training Network is required at hire

General Requirements:

• Previous clinical experience preferred.

• Electronic health record (EHR) experience a plus.

• Experience with process improvement or LEAN philosophy preferred.
