About us

Courtney’s Pet Care Professionals is a small business in Mandeville, LA. We are fun, supportive and customer-centric.

We are the largest professional pet sitting service in the Northshore area. We are looking for persons with experience in animal care fields: previous professional pet sitting experience (other than friends and family), rescue fosters or volunteers, vet techs, kennel techs, dog daycare/boarding facility staff, etc.

NEEDING SITTERS WITH THE FOLLOWING:

Specific Time Availability: Availability between the hours of 7am-5pm or 5pm-9pm and at least (2) weekends per month.

Specific Locations: Mandeville, Covington, & Lacombe.

POSITION CONSIDERED:

• Independent Contractor and will receive a 1099 at the end of the year.
• No taxes deducted from pay.
• SUPPLEMENTAL INCOME ONLY (However, the more open a contractor's availability, the more sitting jobs will be offered.)
• Seasonal - we work when our clients are away - weekends, holidays, spring and fall breaks, etc.

COMPENSATION STARTS AT:

• $11.00 for a 30-minute visit
• $13.00 for a 45-minute visit
• $15.00 for a 60-minute visit

Pay increase available after 90 days based on merit and industry certifications.

TIME REQUIREMENTS:

• Visits are completed between 7am-9pm any given day but in time blocks or time frames that the client can choose
• Major holiday availability is mandatory for all sitters - working with us again, we work when they go away!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Visits vary based on clients' requests
• Visit clients' pets in their own homes for varying lengths of time (30 minutes, 45 minutes and/or 60 minutes each)
• Walk dogs as requested by client
• Feed and water pets as requested by client
• Make sure no damage is caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Appropriate pet clean-up as required by client or if the pet has an accident in the home
• Communicate with management if issue/s arise during visits

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Prefer at least 21 and up
• Must have your own, reliable and insured transportation
• Must have a smartphone as well as a tablet, laptop or computer
• Willing to do visits in up to a 20-mile radius from your home
• Must be extremely detail-oriented
• Able to follow detailed client instructions
• Must be responsible, reliable, dependable and follow through with commitments
• Must be timely and punctual
• Must be able to self-manage
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be passionate about and compassionate towards animals
• Must feel comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
• Must be able to pass a thorough criminal background check
• Must carry liability insurance

• REQUIRED: Please write a fake message update to a pretend pet sitting client ( write it as if it's TO the client) about your visit as their pet sitter with Courtney’s Pet Care Professionals after the following visit scenario: You arrived at a clients home for your 2nd visit (for a once a day visits- for 5 days) with two indoor cats: Bob and Tom. You only see one cat- Bob- but Tom is no where to be seen- you did see him yesterday though. All the cat food has been eaten out of both bowls. The water bowl is a little dirty and half full. There are 4 normal poops and 4 pees in the litter box. There is one small pile of hairball/vomit, on the fancy looking carpet. Client Note Say: "Feed cats 1/4 cup dry food each once a day, give fresh water, clean litter, play. PS- The maid is coming today."
