Job description
Automation Personnel Services is looking for a hard-working Logistics Administrative Assistant for a company based in Courtland, AL. In this role, you will primarily be responsible for being the initial point of contact for the company. You will respond to incoming calls, greet visitors, as well as receive and schedule trucks.Pay Rate
$15.00 per hour
Schedule and Hours
Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. Must have weekend availability during peak season.
Logistics Administrative Assistant Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive and dispatch orders for delivery.
- Accurately input load and driver related information as well as actively update driver routes/plans for the week. You will also communicate with the dispatch team to ensure that everyone has all pertinent information.
- Instruct drivers where to pick up and deliver loads. Have the ability to give accurate and detailed directions, load information, and pick-up/delivery times.
- Coordinate company and customer needs with driver availability while ensuring that drivers stay on schedule.
- Keep records and submit reports as required.
- Must have customer service experience and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of the trucking industry is preferred.
- Proficient in Microsoft word, excel, outlook, and access. Experienced in data entry.
- Must be detail-oriented with good organizational skills.
- High school diploma is required.
- Background check and drug screen required.
