Loan Documentation Specialist (Lending)
Job description
American Heritage FCU, a $4+ billion credit union, has an excellent opportunity for a Full-time Loan Documentation Specialist within our Lending Department at our main campus in Northeast Philadelphia.
DUTIES
- Review consumer and third-party loan documentation to ensure compliance with credit union policy and procedures and to verify accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quality review on consumer and third-party loan documents and document and report any documentation exceptions and errors.
- Work closely with the Lending Analytics and Loan Portfolio Supervisor to ensure all loan documents are reviewed in an efficient manner.
- Review and test updated loan documents in MeridianLink to ensure proper document mapping and compliance.
- Maintain good working knowledge of the credit union's loan policies and procedures.
- Serve as the primary backup to the Loan Participation Analyst to organize and manage all loan documents and data files from third-party vendors.
- Provide support as needed for lending management including preparing for meetings, maintaining office supply inventory, etc.
- Remain current and knowledgeable of all aspects of local, state and federal regulations that affect the credit union.
- Remain active in the University Program of American Heritage Federal Credit Union and complete the position's present curriculum as outlined in the Online University by completing the following: Credit Union annual required compliance training, the Online University required coursework within assigned timeline, and the supplemental courses listed in the Online University Curriculum within the prescribed timeline.
- QUALIFICATIONS:
- One year to three years of similar or related experience.
- Must have at least three years' experience in a lending department or branch office of a credit union or a financial institution.
- Knowledge and understanding of loan documentation compliance.
- Knowledge of consumer loan policy and required documentation for each type of loan.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, Word, and Excel.
- Ability to work under direct supervision but also possesses the ability to work independently tasks.
- Strong verbal/written communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and must be detail oriented, highly accurate, and thorough in all tasks.
- Must self-motivated, with the ability to independently prioritize duties as assigned.
EDUCATION
Requires education equivalent to a four year high school diploma
WORK HOURS
- Full-Time position
- Monday - Friday 8AM - 5PM
