The Loan Administration department is responsible for assisting other departments with regards to customer related cash receipts, account level research as well as loan servicing system updates as required by various Flagship departments.

This position, in addition to supervising the Loan Administration Specialist, will work hand in hand with the various loan servicing departments to ensure customer accounts are appropriately maintained in the Shaw loan servicing system as well as with the Accounting and Treasury departments to ensure cash receipts are disseminated to the proper parties for handling (including deposits to the bank and posting customer payments when warranted).

The supervisor will maintain open and constant communication with these other departments to handle all aspects of the customer’s auto loan account, internal process support, account management, inquiries, loan administration, and problem resolution. This position is expected to use computerized system for tracking, information gathering, and troubleshooting. Must be able to multitask, be flexible to change, handle, organize and resolve constant email messages/questions throughout the day, and perform various administrative duties as assigned.


What is a day in the life at Flagship as a Loan Administration Supervisor?


  • Review the work of the Loan Administration Specialist, ensuring the complete, accurate and timely processing of:
    • Mail inflow
      • Check receipts log
      • Bank deposits
      • Customer payment files
    • Ensure customer account adjustments are appropriately processed in accordance with Company policy, including:
      • Research and complete account changes and updates
      • Accurately calculate account adjustments and understand financial concepts around loan amortization
      • Review and verify customer refund requests to approve them for distribution
      • Coordinate with other internal departments to discuss issue resolution, as needed
    • Conduct research in the servicing system to support the business, including managing workflow and timely responses to request such as:
      • Customer account questions from other departments
      • Compile supporting documentation for loan activity to support adhoc business requests
    • Ability to escalate account issues to appropriate department in the Company, and understand general customer compliance and internal policy guidelines related to areas of responsibility
    • Independently identify trends in terms of required tasks and ad hoc requests to improve business processes
    • Ability to communicate process improvements, in a role of subject matter expert

About you:

  • Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Required: College degree or equivalent supervisory job experience
  • Required: 3 or more years’ experience in similar role and at least 1 year experience as supervisor
  • Preferred: Shaw loan servicing system and Auto Finance experience
  • Proficient in Internet search tools, e-mail, and Microsoft office products (Shaw or similar consumer lending system experience a plus)
  • Maintain strict confidentiality with customer auto loan account information
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent active listening skills
  • Ability to achieve and even surpass established goals
  • Ability to display high level of personal accountability and ownership for work performed
  • Independently driven and motivated to thrive in a fast paced and changing environment
